MTV Cancels Buckwild

I know this happened the other day, but still worth talking about.

I was surprised the channel actually pulled the plug on the show given it was in the middle of shooting the second season, but after Shain Gandee's death, it was more appropriate. No way should it have continue when someone dies, especially as popular as Shain.

I read that the show's producer is livid and wants to keep it going. He just sees dollar signs out of the remaining cast.

Well, to be fair, it wouldn't have been the only show to continue after a major cast member died. 8 Simple Rules continued after Ritter died, although I thought it was quite tasteless to continue the show.

Though of course, there's a difference between a sitcom and a reality show.

And there's a difference between most causes of death and the existence of a direct link from said reality show to someone's death.

Barney Miller. Jack Soo continued with a tribute episode too...Although 8 Simple Rules did go in a respectful direction and tweaking and a photo of John Ritter did remain on the set for the remainder of the series.
