MTV Hits network

What does everyone think of this more variety-based format of MTV Hits over the past few months? Their playlistism stuff they did last year and on certain occasions has pretty much been the format of the network now with each hour offering a different type of music, artist collection, or mtv viewer playlist, and etc. I think this version of MTV hits is A LOT more interesting and SOMEWHAT reminds me of the old MTV2. They even designate an hour each day (I believe) for Subterrean (new version of 120 minutes) which plays a lot of new and DECENT music. The only problem I have with MTV Hits/Playlistism are the damn banners on the screen. There are banners in 2 sometimes 3 different places during the videos! What do you guys think?

I definitely catch myself watching MTV Hits more. Before the playlist format, it was like a visual garbage top-40 station playing the awful hits of today over and over. The playlists offer a lot more variety than that. I dont think that the Subterranien playlist is daily, but it is one of the playlists offered and I've seen it frequently (and enjoyed).

The playlists are bring what needs to be brought to the station-variation. Rock, Rap, '00s, '90s, ('80s?) and the like. Overall, the playlists are a move in the right direction.

heeey everyone! okay so ive been trying to figure out the name of this one song like forever. its on the mtv hits tv station and its in the animation playlist. its like of a bunch of kids in someones house and they are like all in a band. i dont know very much about it but theyre whistling a lot throughout the song. i would LOVE to find out the name of it or the band please reply! =]

I wish my cable company would add this channel to regular cable. They just took two Viacom channels from digital and put them on regular cable. Noggin/The N and VH1 Classic. Hey I'll take MTV Hits and you can put VH1 Classic back on digtial. If only we could pick our cable channels like we can pick what radio stations we can put on our car radio lol.

I wish DirecTV would carry it. VH1 Classic doesn't even play music all the time. Does MTV Hits sometimes play 80s music?

Sometimes? I don't think MTV Hits ever does play anything pre-2000's these days. Maybe once in a blue moon during a special "playlist" hour by an artist, but not regularly; that's what VH1 Classic is for - or, at least, it should be, anyway...

I loved MTV Hits when I had Comcast! Now I can't get it because I switched to Dish. I loved having it on during parties as an alternative to CD's or my iTunes Mix because it had no commercials and it was more entertaining than just playing the song!

Doesn't Dish have Music Choice? It's got like forty-plus channels of non-stop, commercial free music (okay, there might be ad TEXT on the screen on some of the channels) so I'm sure there's got to be something there to please your fancy!

Dish has their own branded music channels, which have no DJ's, as well as Sirius/XM music channels. DirecTV, on the other hand, dropped Sirius/XM, in favor of a service provided by DMX called "Sonic Tap" (they claim that people didn't care for the DJ chatter, but I suspect otherwise; they should have just went back to the superior Music Choice if that was the case).

Didn't MTV Hits also run on a handful of low-poer TV channels? I believe Channel 17 in New York City is one of them.

I believe that was mtv2 that did that, back when they were all music, now they show mtv Tr3́s

I was just curious about MTV Hits but anyway yeah that's what VH1 Classic is for but like I posted earlier they don't play music all the time. If they had stayed commercial free I know they would.
