MTV's Busted and Exiled, promoting good values or not?

MTV has created 2 new reality shows. One is called Busted which shows teens getting arrested by cops and showing them getting arrested via police cam. What makes it different from COPS is that the sides of the story from the cop and the teen are given. Another show is My Super Sweet 16: Exiled is a show where bratty, spoiled, rich 16 year old girls have now turned 18 and their parents are tired of their spoiled ways and decide to send them off to a far away 3rd world country to learn how less fortunate people live. Do you think MTV is actually trying to promote moral values with these shows, or is it just more fluff the network is filling up?

It's more pointless fluff to fill up the channel in my opinion. I came across Busted while channel surfing and that show seems really staged compare to how COPS is.

I made an error in my last post which I thought I could correct, but can't for some reason. In my last post I meant to say that Busted seems really staged compare to COPS' real life style filming, not how COPS is staged which you could have interpret from the last post. I hope that clarifies that. ;)

Sounds similar to the atrocious " Queen B's " that was on the N channel.

Does ANYONE watch MTV any more?

They were the first channel I blocked from my cable service back in the early 80's and I've never been sorry.

Yes, a significant portion of their target audience watches them. I'm willing to wager you're not in the target (just as I'm not), but that doesn't mean they aren't getting a good chumk of the audience they're after.

I'm definitely not in MTV's target audience nor have I ever been.

By 'anyone', I was referring to my kids and their friends. I remember talking to the kids about MTV years ago and they weren't interested back then when it was primarily a music video source. They are older now but still don't watch it.
