Muffled sound on Verizon FiOS TV (WGN, Comedy Central)

Has anyone with Verizon FiOS TV noticed certain channels (WGN, Comedy Central, Disney) having muffled or distorted sound?

There are a few of us who have noticed WGN, FX, Comedy Central, Discovery, Disney and others have muffled or "AM Quality" sound (though I've heard some AM stations with better sound) on the aforementioned SD channels while the HD channels sound fine.

Because it's a sound quality issue it seems to be quite difficult to fix much less describe to those who aren't audiophiles to put it politely.

If you have it's not just you. And yes it should be fixed.
