Multi-Station Streaming Audio Card? Help?

We have 3 stations we are streaming online. Our streaming works by coming directly out of the audio processor and into the blue stereo input jack on the back of a computer with an internet connection and our streaming software.

Right now we have 3 separate computers (one to stream each station) but what we would like to do is to centralize everything into one "streaming computer".

Is there anyone else out there that is using one computer to stream multiple stations online? Are you using one audio card (and if so which one) or do you have one computer with 3 separate cards? ANY help is appreciated.

Why not just use Winamp with the built-in NULL Audio Output plugin & a DSP like SHOUTcast or SAM on ONE computer?? I've got FOUR stations on Live365 this way & it works out just fine.

All you need to do is enable the option to have multiple instances of Winamp open (Which you can do in Preferences) AND make sure that each instance is installed in SEPERATE folders (This is so you don't send out a bunch of mish-mashed jibberish called your radio stations ;D *LOL!* ).

Hope this helps.....

Cheers :D

Because he needs the analog to digital side of a sound card for each station. He's webcasting live audio, not mp3 files.

The only way to do this on one computer would be three sound cards with each instance of your streaming software accessing a different card. This assumes that software could run three instances. But I don't know if an average computer could handle three sound cards. I use two in one computer; I suppose three may be possible. It's a matter of available interrupts

If it were my problem, I'd stick with the three computers, based on my theory of 'simpler is better'. Actually, I'd have a fourth ready for maintenance/emergencies.
