Multiple people saying they are # 1

I am new to this site and have very little knowledge on Radio in general. I tune into WMMS from time to time and it seems like Rover is often talking about being number 1. I can't quite remeber if he says that he is number 1 across the board or if he is talking about a specific demographic. I tune in today and they were yet again talking about this topic. It seems that he has gotten into it again with Trivisonno. Rover is saying Triv's show is not doign well, while Triv says Rover is just making that up for the show. I know that there is more to it then just raitings but I was hoping someone could help me out with this. Is Rover really the power house he claims to be? How is both Alan Cox/ Triv doing as of recent? I also find it kind of funny that Alan Cox/Triv both made it on Talkers.com top 100 talk shows this year but no Rover.
 
I wonder about two hosts "getting into it"... a war of words...when they are both working for the same corporate entity. By doing so, they could get a number of people to tune into both shows to hear what the back-and-forth would be today. That could help both hosts ratings. Now, if they were working for different companies, this question would not come up.

Disregard, double post. The board software was being very slow and unresponsive for some reason.
