Murphy Martin 1925-2008 former WFAA - Channel 8 Anchor

Just saw on Channel 8's news where he has passed away.
 
I'm not sure if Murphy Martin was at Channel 8 or
already at ABC at the time of JFK's assassination,
but I remember that he handled ABC's coverage from
Dallas. A couple or so months later he became anchor
of the 11 PM newscast ABC was running at the time,
one a number of affiliates refused to carry because it
pushed their local news back to 11:10. Nevertheless,
he's one of many top-notch news people who have
worked at Channel 8. R.I.P.
