MURPHY VS. SHOWGRAM

So I turnned on the radio to 105.7 at 9am or a little after to see what was going on. I first heard 20 second of laughing with a few half phrases but no real words to grasp a hold of. Then came the topic they were talking and laughing about...balls. Not footballs or basketballs, no a mans JUNK. They went on and on about balls. How Bob promised not to say it for a year but now he did anyway. Real clever bit about a mans junk. After waiting 4 minutes or more for the payoff there was none. I turned it off. Ya, the other stations in the Triad better watch out, high schoolers and pre-teens will be flocking to the BOB Dumbass show in droves. Pretty much what I was told it would be like. Ya, competition is a good thing..too bad there still is none.
Nuff said.

Well, I'll admit that I'm not in their demo. Guess if you were in the demo you'd be laughing your ass off! There's got to be some reason he's getting the ratings he does.
It sounds infantile, though. Have you seen the TV commercial about the Mom talking about some piece of electronic equipment and in the background her teenage son says, "I got it to say booger!" He's just thrilled. That's kind of what that bit sounds like. It's targeting a really young audience that thinks hearing certain words is just hilarious.

I did notice that in some of the pre-recorded (best of type) bits, they have not edited out Bob saying "G105". These are bits that are not running concurrently on G.

Hmmm...that could mean they're looking to change call letters on 105.7. Something with a "G" in it would allow G-105 to work as a slogan for both stations.

Later . . . .

I'd bet it's just laziness and inattention

YES! THAT'S IT! (think Charlie Brown when Lucy properly diagnoses him)

I def heard G105 stuff on 105.7 at different times listening over the mornings...and with a few commercial breaks mistimed on 105.7 as well and they just cut out oddly, since Im in a location that can get both 105.7 and 105.1 with a decent signal, their audio are completly in sync..there is absolutely no delay in between both of them...... my best friends wife seems to already be hooked on bob & the showgram.
