Music News Flash

The Peak has been playing LMFAO "Party Rock Anthem." And right now, it's "U-Pick It" 8-midnight, so everything that gets the most listener votes online right now gets played. Pick and vote up or down any song you want to be played on 987thepeak.com. It's awesome!

Interesting. I guess I don't check in very often as it was my 1st time catching LMFAO. I did hear them play Freak Nasty "Da Dip" over the weekend! I guess anything is capable of crossing over in time

Yeah, this weekend was an exception though. It was a 90s weekend so a lot of stuff you don't hear (like Freak Nasty) did get some play.

The beat has the R-Dub slow jams show week nights & on sunday. They play R&B request until arround 11pm. I did notice that Mega is playing quiet storm at night adding more 90's R&B. Good move... :D

The Beat has always had R Dub since the beginning. I was in charge of getting it on the air when it started. Mon-Thur 10p-Mid and Sun 8p-Mid. He does include newer stuff, but the station now incorporates recurrents in rotation like Flo Rida, Trey Songz, Lupe Fiasco, Lil Wayne and so on. I can't imagine that going over well with the folks that listen to get away from that junk.
