Music on Hot 93.7

I noticed their not playing some popular songs:

Fancy - Drake feat T.I. and Swizz Beatz
Pretty Boy Swag - Soulja Boy
Got Your Back - T.I. feat. Keri Hilson

This is all by looking at the Top Songs list on YES.com for WZMX. On four other stations which are sister stations to Hot 93.7 they all have these songs on the Top Songs list. And those stations are WPEG Charlotte, NC; WPGC Washington D.C.; WVEE Atlanta, GA; and WLLD Tampa, FL. But Hot is playing Runaway by Kanye West which was the song he sang at the MTV VMAs. Whats up with Hot 93.7 not playing these popular songs? They always have stepped it up.
 
Not sure about the song "Shots" but is that the song LMFAO sings feat. Lil Jon? Thats what came up when I did a search.

Those CBS Stations are:
WPEG Power 98 - Charlotte, NC

95.5 WPGC - Washington D.C.

V103 - Atlanta, GA

WiLD 94.1 - Tampa, FL
 
Not sure Hot 93.7 wouldn't play that song. For one its a LMAFO song and it seems more of a pop song.

And another song I noticed not on the playlist
Nelly's new song "Just A Dream"

Also I checked out WJMN Jam'n 94.5 Boston they are playing
"Fancy" and "Got Your Back"
But at least Hot 93.7 isn't playing some of the songs Jam'n has on their playlist.
 
Noticed the song Fancy - Drake feat. Keri Hilson got played on Hot 93.7 today just before 9pm. Someone from Hot or CBS Radio Hartford must be looking at this board :)

I possibly shouldn't mention this but I am doing some programming consulting for a private music network that will remain nameless and even though it's a "top-40" format, I have all 4 songs mentioned in this thread in rotation.

Nelly is in High rotation, Drake is in Mid and the others mentioned are in low.
 
Was in South Windsor this past weekend and also the last few weekends and HOT 93.7 does play Fancy, I noticed they played it alot more this weekend then past weekends so maybe they were slow on that song, it happens. Just A Dream was just added and is being billed as New Music. It's getting alot of spins as if it's on High Rotation. Got Your Back is kindof a has-been, it was on High Rotation at my station in late July and early August.. it's mid October so yeah. Pretty Boy swag is a has-been as well, was taken outa rotation at my station about a month ago.

Ohyeah and Shots is too Pop/Rhythmic-ish and they have that Urban lean to them.
 
I know their playing Soulja Boy NEW song - "Blowing Me Kisses". You might be right that Hot 93.7 was just slow in added "Fancy" by Drake. They were playing Will Smith's daughters song seems to have less playing time which is a good as that song is terrible.
 
I know she's only like 9, but that song is not... airplay material (I'm being nice) and belongs on Radio Disney (where it wont be heard since they're on AM). Or atleast CHR Radio where it would blend in better, but what on earth is it doing on Urban and Urban Heavy Rhythmic stations?! I dont get why they're tapping it but CHR's arent. I would say because it's Will Smith's daughter, but that song has CHR written all over it. Do the Music Directors seriously think people are gonna bump to that or be like hey whats this song? NO! Instead they'll change the station.
 
I don't think that song belongs on Radio Disney. Hearing Taylor Swift then that song wow. And that song isn't even CHR. Will Smith is a great actor but he must have done something to get his daughters song on the radio I feel.

I would hope that an EAS alert doesn't break out in the middle of that song, preferably in between the second and third word of the title being sung... ::)
