Why else would KFYI promote The Nearly Bald One right after his grueling two hour shift? Nurse Jeff and I are referring to the voiceover during the intro to the first hour of El Rushbo and why KF Why~Eye would promote his show in that position. Do the CCU suits think listeners have forgotten who they were listening to just 10 minutes prior?

And on another talkradio subject: The Nurse and I want to know whose vocal cords will give out first - Paul Harvey or Pat McMahon? Both sound exceptionally strained and make us want to pull into a nearby Circle K for a carton of Sucrets. YIKES! :eek:

That's a tough one. Fortunately both Paul and Pat have hoarded the Sucrets in the old tin box (more potent than the Sucrets in the plastic boxes). I'm working on a formula to determine the probability of who will eat more Sucrets in a day...Paul or Pat. Given that Paul is not talk as frequently as Pat McBland, I am lead to believe the following:

Rest of the Story+Noon News*5/Doesn't like to hear himself talk= Low Probability of Sucrets Consumption
3 HRS (9a-12p)*5/MCBland Group+ Ego Squared*Long Monologue*Bloviating-# of Calls Taken= High Probability of Sucrets Consumption

In short, Pat McBland is the winner. Pass the Sucrets! :p
 
I vote that Pat will lose his voice because he does a daily show. Harvey has so many replacements to save his precious cords.

Along those same (family) lines, what about Paul Harvey Jr., who has to do that horrible voice and pronunciation? I guess it is good to have a job from birth but does he also have to speak like that?

Such as the recorded closing billboard to the (live 0830 ET) morning broadcast
voiced by Paul Jr. where he forces his delivery to appear to be laughing (at the
punch line of Dad's "For What It's Worth Dept." kicker).

The closing billboard which, BTW, you won't hear here since KT'R dumps out of
the Audio Vault after "Paul Harvey.....................Good Day!"
 
Barry Young is a star. He can do whatever the heck he wants at KFYI....they desparately NEED him!
