Mustard & Johnson Returns

Larry Johnson just announced at the end of the Big Show that The Mustard and Johnson Show will be returning to the airwaves starting this weekend. He said the schedule will vary from week to week.

Well, the crew at BZ-FM must be salivating over that news. There's nothing like more LJ to drag the ratings down the tubes. Sounds like what the Providence sports station when it went courting Yankee's fans. Maybe that's EEI's future, the Yankee voice in Boston.

Yankee talk was horrible. If the station lets Mustard back, they should 86 slotted calls from these frontrunners.

It was Col. Mustard, in the conservatory, with the candlestick.

Can he cut the Mustard? Will people relish this show? Will WBZ-FM ketchup to the ratings WEEI is getting?

Pardon me...do you have any grey poupon? But of course :)

Oh: The Track gals did hint that Scott Zolak will prob co-host on WBZ-FM with Gary Tanguay, middays.

Hopefully they'll be replacing the increased amount of the national Fox Sports radio that's been heard on the weekends in the past few months. Seems like that has gone unnoticed on this board.

Somewhere in Canton, a man named Mike is soooooo happy

Too early for you, but late at night for me (3 am, as in when I got home from work). But did you hear about the polar bear who went into a diner and asked the waitress, "Let me have a root beer....float." The waitress said, "Why the big pause?" The bear replied, "I don't know, my dad has 'em too..." :)

A couple of days after BSMW had the news.

WEEI uses Fox Sports when the Red Sox are on 680 or the Pats are on. No sense in paying people to go up against the local sports teams.

Why would they do this? M&J was the worst show ever. Did anyone notice that their cast of a**hole yankee callers(except the ubiquitous Frank) never called any other show? They should just play tapes from a few years ago. I bet the calls would be exactly the same. Larry hasn't updated his repertoire of hilarious one-liners in his few appearances on the Big Show.

I hope this is just temporary. When they were first canceled, they were supposed to still make periodic appearances, but they vanished except for an occasional fill in on the Big Show by the catfish. I doubt if they'll mess with the baseball or football shows and unless Bradford wants to devote all his time to his .com crap, I doubt if they'll bump Mutt and Bradford. All that's left is the occasional John Ryder and Lenny Megs show or Butch Sterns.

Mustard must have absolutely no pride. He has been totally humiliated in Boston. His career went right down the drain before everyone's eyes, he's the butt of everyone on 'EEI's jokes, yet he comes back for more.

Does anyone know him? Is he as big an a**hole as he seems?

They might once Patriots season starts, as they have in the past. Seems like the local shows on weekends have not been going as late (like to 7 PM, or so) as they previously had though.
