mute switch for a phantom powered mic

I know somewhere in my man-cave there is a schematic for constructing a mute device, and off-on switch for a phantom powered mic. I need to throw one together, maybe for a one time use... pronto. Can someone point me to a website that would give me values for the components and a schematic for connecting them.

I've had luck simply shorting the two audio lines (pins 2 & 3 on the XLR). Of course, those pins are at the same DC level so no clicking/popping/etc. and indeed the mike is still operating while muted.

I've seen more complex designs but the simple button seems to work OK for me.

I'd assume the right capacitor in series with the shorting switch would be the way to go. I don't know the value, but I'm guessing that something like a .1 would do it. I'd experiment with a protected power supply at first and see. :)
