My 102.5 & Lite 102.9 same christmas playlist

Was switching between My 102.5 and Lite 102.9 out of Charlotte on Saturday morning and I noticed they were using the exact same playlist for their Christmas songs!

Lite 102.9 was a song or two ahead, and a few minutes later My 102.5 would play the same songs. Later in the day I believe Lite had a commercial-free hour so they may have gotten further ahead at that point.

Seeing that they are both owned by Clear Channel, they are more than likely using music off of the same large corporate server.

Insanity! But not surprised....we have two all-Christmas stations and it isn't even Thanksgiving. I noticed Magic was 'previewing' this weekend but when 102.5 went all-Christmas, they quickly dropped the 'preview' indications.

Oh well, no more Elton John or Rod Stewart songs for the next 5 weeks to put me to sleep....guess I'll go back to 90.1 when I listen to the radio

They didn't put much thought into the whole all-Christmas format, so why would they put a lot of thought into programming the songs?

Just regurgitate what we did last winter!
I don't think that means what you think it means, but it's close.

it is christmas music on an ac station. how can you ruin that? if not this, it would be the elton john catalog, dancing queen, sittin' on the dock of the bay, celine dion's movie song, and four other songs. isn't that the ac format? can you imagine partying with ac program directors with their glasses of chardonnay, pipes with the latest imported tobacco, and the smell of moth balls in their clothes?

LMAO, freqdev. so true, but you left out the occasional Hall and Oates, Billy Joel or Journey song. Oh, and lets throw in some country song while we're at it..

At least in years past we had oldies or Charlie last year....not much of an alternative for a mainstream type of music, except maybe WFBC to some extent. I hope CC freshens WMYI after this is over.

you folks in Columbia are lucky that B106.7 doesn't "jingle the bells"..
