My 107.3 Christmas music WHY?????

I know folks from this station monitor this board. So as a new loyal listener of your station, and a former GM/PD in the industry, I ask you this question, and post this comment ?
Why didn't My 107.3 stick with the format. You are still building a following, I have enjoyed the music. Why give us (the listeners) something new and fresh , and yank it away from us. In a few weeks or days, a couple of other stations, Lite Mix, Q-100, etc..will do the same christmas format. Very disappointing.

Q;Why didn't My 107.3 stick with the format.

A; Same reason they talk WAYYY to much in the morning. If you're a so-called former GM/PD..YOU should know they need to get a new PD/Morning Guy/Girl/Janitor whatever he is. Also....WHY even place Q100 in this post? My Lord they are barely in the ratings according to Arbitron.

I think it's obvious why they changed. They know it's what I wanted.

Now, I don't know what a "PD" is (something about personnel, maybe?), so I can't speak to that issue, but I know that My 107.3 has become, well, My Christmas Station. Strangely, I hadn't thought much about the Holidays, but somehow My 107.3 knew me better than I knew myself. Somehow, this is just what I needed.

Now, I can't help but listen to My 107.3 at home, when I am at work, or even in the car. An example: My 107.3 just played, "We Need A Little Christmas." And, I thought, "yeah, we do, don't we?!" It's been a tough year here on the Coast, and thankfully, My 107.3 knew that we all needed a break-- just a moment to catch our breath, relax, and reflect that eventually, FINALLY, everything will be OK. It's Nice.

And, when the Holidays (I try to avoid using hate-filled words like "Christmas;" I don't want to offend anyone -- the Holidays are for all, right? It's an inclusive, joyous time of year, and I would never be thoughtless enough to make anyone think that I am not sensitive of their needs) are all over, I know those few Holiday pounds will melt right off. I'm Shapin' Up with Kit and Meg? See? They do know me! It's My Station. It's MY 107.3.

Silly boy. Do you really think a CC market PD makes a decision of this type on his or her own? For that matter, does a PD in any modern radio company?

Christmas music is a good play, though. And the station which goes first usually captures the position.

Re: My 107.3 Christmas music--HERE'S WHY

Below is a brilliant example of the Professor using Dilbert/Pearls Before Swine sarcastic humor, that totally went over the head of a typical Blondie/Family Circus reader. Radiobuzz, do you really believe the word Christmas is hate filled or that the Professor, or Mary Ann for that matter, thought it was??

Actually, he does.

What Soup means -- since you seem to be struggling -- is you've missed that Professor's post is rather tongue-in-cheek. So it's no wonder you've reached the conclusion he or she is a MY 107 staffer. That seems pretty unlikely.

We'll all try to use short words and basic grammar when conversing with you in the future.

Well, Mr. Buzz, it was never my in intention to cause you any gastrointestinal discomfort. As my previous postings make clear, I believe in tolerance and civility, at all times.

But, if I did make you feel ill... hey, Bonus!
