MAN!

I dont know one person in San Antonio but mouth's are running! LOL! First off, I have no friends posting messages on this board that is based on 90% "radio groupies". I can't lie I've been on this site before, but just to see what's going on in the Texas region radio wise. So let's address every issue. Yes, I am from Lubbock, TX market 182. I am NOT an arrogant person but I've been in radio since the age of thirteen, I've worked my ass off and I have earned this position in San Antonio! As far as not doing any segments or bits on my show it is because we are a new station.........DUH! We've been on air for a month, trust me when the bits/segments start you will know. Musically, of course the rotation is spinning fast again, WE ARE A NEW STATION! As far as the Justin Timberlake record, do I think we should play it HONESTLY yes, the market is 50% hispanic and HUGE with women. As far as MY competition HAMM, I personally have no problem wiht him. When I got to town I actually hit him up on myspace to introduce myself, but got no reply. I am here for one reason and one reson only, to bring some fun back to radio! Everyone is so cocky and arrogant for no reason these days. Do i rap? YES I DO! I've seen a couple of people bring that into the boards so lets address that issue. My MUSIC myspace page alone has 22,948 views with over 31,000 plays. Not to mention we performed for MTV'S My Super Sweet 16 with Quick Mixx Rick & 97.9 The Beat in Dallas, TX. I'm having a great time here in S.A. and I'm just thankful for the oppurtunity. So inclosing, to everyone on this board, whether its hate/love that your showing thank you for the promotion! LOL! ;D "THE REAL!"

Your post doesnt change my mind about how I feel about you or Power 106.7 but I have to admit, that was pretty cool of the guy to at least attempt to set the record straight. It was also cool of the guy to contact Hamm and introduce himself before he came into the market. Classy, I would have done the same. Very big of you Tino, [EDIT]

Welcome to San Antonio Tino, you have a lot of competition. From Hamm who pulls very high numbers to your indirect competition Mo Bounce who seems pretty creative. Yes welcome, but I still dont like Power.

[EDIT-inflammatory and namecalling]

your boy El Cheapo is a loser who smashes the refresh button on radio-info all day. Calling people out about this and that but when he reads something he dont like he runs to the meds. Like he did on my last posting.

Dude - I never got to see your post because it was gone before I got a chance to read it. I thought it was weird that it showed you as the last poster in that thread when the last post wasn't yours, so I figured [EDIT] it got deleted.

I've been on conference calls all day so I've had plenty of time to spend here.

Hey Tino! Welcome to town, man! Wish you much success.
Just remember, San Antonio is actually about a hundred small towns, all coexisting in the same space, but rarely touching.
In San Antonio, Hispanics are AMERICANS. The African-Americans are cool and open minded, despite the occasional man with an attitude (I'm looking at you, BOI). Just get out there and make as many friends as you can, meet all the people you can, and charm 'em. If you get the chance, look up Sonny Melendrez. He's on the margins now, but back in the day, he knew how to make it work. He'll make a good friend.
Good luck, and don't let the occasional pop-off put you off your stride.

WOW!!! lol If there is one thing I can say about this Kid, cause like I said he is indeed a Kid, it's that his professionalism goes a long way. And the cool thing about it is the fact that he's always been this way, as far as introducing himself to the competition and keeping things level, that's just the way he flows. I respect him for that, because if there's anything that I wasn't able to accomplish during my short stint in radio it was this. Big props to you, Tino and just remember when you go up to introduce yourself and the other person doesn't coincide with a handshake, it's not their fault... It's their mothers! LOL ::)
