MY 600 AM TIMELINE

Hey Guys:

After all of my research from the broadcasting yearbooks here is my 600AM Timeline:

1. 1950 to Dec 1957 WMRY, Format ? Owned by Southland Broadcasting Co. Do know it was R&B in the mid 50's. I think it was R&B from the day of sign on. Thoughts? Kind of followed WDIA in Memphis when R&B stations started out.

2. Dec 1957 to 1958 WYLD R&B. 1958 moved to 940. Owned by Roundsville Broadcasting Of New Orleans.

3. 1958 to April 1960 WYFE Country "Town and Country" All female D.J.'s

4. April 1960 to Jan 1971 WWOM Beautiful Music.

5. Jan 1971 to now WVOG Religous.
