My Christmas present...

(Not...)

2 days ago I hooked the Aud output of my Stereo 80 to the cart recorder... Nothing. I Hooked a speaker to the out Aud terminals... Nothing. This on boths channels. It worked b4.
I'm out from town. I'll have to trace the issue from the diagrams. Meanwhile if you have suggestions from where to start, please help me ;-)

Merry Christmas!

Now that I'm back home I saw the schematics, I found what cards serve the Aud output of the console. It's the Mon Booster, wich has the same circuit as the PGM booster. According to that I swapped the cards from L to R, MON to PGM, vice-versa. The issue remains. ???

Now the question... is that an issue or a feature? The PGM output provides the 8db@VU output, wich feeds the cart recorder audio input nicely. Using the AUD output - even with both console and recorder pots fully open - the VUs barely move (same source as the PGM test, a cd playing). Using a pair of 400r DT100 I got a high audio level from the direct contact of the hp jack on the PGM terminals. On the AUD terminals you can guess.

I've uploaded the manual if someone's wants to help me...

Thanks...

I've been thinking...

There's a 300R resistance before the AUD output pins. Can I bypass them or:

The PGM output pins have a 100R resistance... If I put the same value on the AUD outputs will I get the same output level as the PGM on the AUD output? (Output specs: PGM: +8dbm, AUD: -26dbm)

Update:

Regarding my previous post: Useless atempt...

Besides that now I got another problem... The Mon Output card is knocked out. One of the 2NXXX transistors overheats. Where should I start looking first? :-\
