My Christmas Wish

For Radio-Info - May all who toil here, for little pay, and less respect get more of both, and keep this wonderful, underappreciated resource alive for us all.

For Tom Taylor - A true gentleman, who along with Rob Feder, Bud Wilkinson and...Well, those are the only three Radio columnists of that calibre, a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year with a Loner's thanks for keeping me informed as hide out in the woods of Western Oregon in my tiny shack, avoiding Federal prosecution.

For Akbar - May he/she find the peace (not piece) of the season, and turn off the radio and turn on something educational and valuable, like TV or Internet Porn.

For Nurse Jeff - May the Gremlin run forever.

For insidethenumbers - May he stay warm in the Windy City ;-) and far from the South Loop.

For KOOLListenerLauren - May she get her start in radio in 2010. I have a feeling that if she makes contact with all the PDs in town, she will find one who will give her an opportunity, based on her excellent posts to this board, and obvious passion for the business.

for DavidEduardo - May you find at least two, or even three things in this post to criticize and set me straight on. My Christmas Present to you, my friend.

For Jim Sharpe - You sir, are a tool, and I hope you finally made it out of the building, though any building in town would be blessed to have you in possession of their security card.

For JizzHornay - My God, I miss you here.

For Kris Abrams - KMLE and KOOL sound great. You have done a fine job, not matter what various tools on this board say.

For J.D. Hayworth - I will vote for you against McCain, if for no other reason, to get you off the radio. But then KFYI would probably hire McCain.

For LegendCity - There are so few of us from the old days on this board - Let's talk about who was better, KRUX or KRIZ. And who remembers CBS Mystery Theatre running from Reel to Reel tapes, print-through and all, on KOOL-AM?

I know I've missed many here. To everyone else, please have a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. The sun is rising, and I have to collect more firewood for the stove.

And a Festivus tip of the fez to you, DL, from the Buckeye Boyz. May you receive a PPM in '10 to record your insatiable love for Lumberyard 14~Forty as well as a carbon credit or two for all the firewood you're burning to keep warm!

KLL got some (electronic) ink in yesterday's (Dec. 18) Tom Taylor column
(separate login needed, R-I home page) on radio's biggest stories of 2009. :)
