MY DENTIST'S OFFICE SWITCHED TO B101

Of course, they switched from Coast so it's still in the family but I thought it was an odd choice for the kind of business that always transported you to an elevator from hell back in the day with lush versions of Dream On. It's also an all-female office. Not that I even mind, but it's a little grating to have someone poking a metal object in your mouth to the tune of "scaramouche scaramouche will you do the fandango?"

not that it pertains to this market...but my dentist always has WBOS on...as well as my orthodontist...seems as if it's deja vu...it's always a sheryl crow song on at the exact moment i'm in the chair

As far as the dental switch from Coast to B101 it's easier to hear Queen over the sound of a drill than Faith Hill.

My dentist in Newton usually plays Mix 98.5. I guess they like music that's more upbeat. And this is interesting, because at one time, Cape Cod station 99.9 WQRC was actually referred to as the "dentist office" music station. They were almost always instrumental, and they would play music like Enya and stuff like that.

And my orthodontist used to play different music, though they often did play WBOS. They also had the wall of the exam room (or whatever its called) painted to look like a Cape Cod beach. And it's also starting to bring back memories of when I had the dreaded braces. Aggh!

Did John Laurenti ever think he'd be on in a dentist's office?
