My Favorite WAS Supertalk 96.1--It's gone and we need a replacement!

On Monday morning I started the car to drive to work and found 96.1 playing country. Plenty of country in these parts and there was only one Quinn and Rose. I listened to them every morning for the past 3 years. 96.1 was my station and now it's playing country in an already flooded country market. We have BULL and BEAR and others and now we have HANK. Hope someone did their homework on this one. Quinn and Rose was the only syndicated morning talk in Lexington that I know of. I don't like the local morning talk, so I hope someone else picks them up or some other national talk show. If you do you will have a dedicated listener from the start and I am likely not alone.

Michael Savage was on 96.1 too. I will miss him!

If anyone else out there can reccomend a morning, national political talk show in Lexington that would be great! Until then, I drive in silence and will be bored out of my mind :'(

Tell me about it. I agree 100%. I wrote to Quinn and he said see if the station carrying Rush, which is 630 am might pick them up, if even on a delay.

Right now I am using their home station in Pittsburgh's streaming. Nice thing is I get the 4th hour of them. It also streams Michael Savage as well.

I wrote to the Hank 96.1 and they said they changed because that is what they were told the Lexington market wanted. Whatever. Like I told them, my country is in turmoil and the last thing I need is another crying in my beer station to make me feel even worse.

So for now I will live with the streaming but I do miss them on my morning drive to work. And like you I have been listening for about 3 years now.

Isn't Savage on WHAS?

No. WHAS was unable to withstand the overwhelming clout of the Mighty Mainline. Savage cancelled his contract to be on WLRS- Shepherdsville.

Thanks for the update. I could have searched it on the Google but was too lazy. ;D

And 5 minutes after the contract was signed, his agent was overheard saying, "What the eff have I done?"!! ;)

Savage ON AM 1250 in Lexington.... Soon.

I think the OP and following posts were drivebys. 2 first time posters both complaining about the absence of a show that didn't perform that well in this market?
