my fill in for WMWM's Jack's Roadhouse Sat the 19th

Bob "Raccoonradio" Nelson fills in for Jack Smith on Uncle Jack's Roadhouse on Sat 7/19,
3-6 pm on WMWM 91.7 (no streamcast but podcast may be put up later). My chance to
play Hank Snow, Porter Wagoner, Dolly Parton, Willie & Waylon, Tom T Hall and more. Maybe a bit
of bluegrass. A couple tunes from 80s-90s "country-new wave" local band Rubber Rodeo
(remember Salem's Don Rose of Eat Records, pre-Rykodisc?)
Perhaps some novelty like Homer and Jethro (joined by June Carter, the future Mrs. Johnny
Cash, on "Baby It's Cold Outside") or Chuck Wagon & the Wheels' "Disco Sucks"?

should be fun!

yeah I used to play that all the time on vinyl (I don't think we have that record there anymore) and I
went to their website and mentioned it, etc. Chuck Maultsby was nice enough to send me a
copy of their best of CD, incl. that! And yup it is getting airplay

at the bottom is listed stations playing the song back then: WCOZ, WBCN, WMWM, WMFO,
WCCH, WAAF etc

Ha! Ah, you were the one who called me and made that joke about "what happens when you play a country
song backwards"! No, I couldn't find a way to do that but the show did go well!
