My Final Warning do you still want Hispanic on the Airwaves

Maywood, California, Saturday, September 9th, crowds of Mexicans tore the American Flag down from the US Post Office here, burned it and replaced it with a Mexican Flag, as police just looked on. This was in support of an Illegal Immigration Rally by Hispanics and Illegal Mexicans. When police tried to take down the Mexican Flag, they were pelted with Rocks and Bottles. Maywood is know as "Sanctuary City" for Illegal Mexicans, when a counter group called the Minuteman protested, they were beat up and harrassed by the much larger group of Mexicans. The sad and radio related concept of this incident is; many Hispanic formatted stations in the area were urging and encourageing this to happen, the Chief of Police and other law enforcement officials claimed, "the stations were causing more violence by embracing these actions and we could not understand what was being said over the airwaves". Bottom line, these stations were using a foreign language (Spanish), to insite riots and Anti-American functions. Stations cited were KXOL, KLAX, KSSE, KRVC, KLVE, KSCA, KALI, KTNQ, KWKW, KBLA, KBUE AND KLTX. I guess the Liberal Dem Bleeding Hearts will counter with some meaningless point, but we all know what the true story is. Wait until this happens here and your neighborhood is destroyed and you have no clue what is being said. Do you all still think Spanish is a healthy format for this country????? Right now I don't give a damn about T. radio, its your problem. I have XM in the car and listen to Willies Place, MC/AOL/XM music which is great at home, AOL has a better music selection than XM or Sirius. Pioneer portable satellite radio and LG phone for music on the go with computer and Satellite systems. If I ever need T. radio which I doubt, I have good old WMMR in an emergency. So I am covered without hearing the garbage on the Philly dial. AMEN!!!!

They were Spanish-Mexican longer than it's been American.
Hispanics in those areas - like American Indians everywhere - have every moral right to protest the conquerors, who took away their lands and homes.
As do the Hawaiians.
As do the Palestinians, the Scots, the Welsh, the Basque, the Armenians (and more) ... for that matter.

The only part of the United States that has any legitimacy are those portions that were once part of the British Empire and which never seceded (as well as those areas obtained legally under international law, such as the Louisiana Purchase and Alaska).

XM has several Hispanic format (and Black format) channels? Do you object to their presence, as well?
Is you objection to Hispanic and Black (or Urban) formats that you don't think such programming should be aired, or that because of terrestrial radio's limited bandwidth, the presence of these formats means other formats will not be heard in a market? (Or maybe some other reason)
Do you think all stations on the radio must be personally appealing or interesting to you?

The area was Spanish from the Conquista to the early 1800's. It was Mexican for about 30 years.

Hispanics in those areas - like American Indians everywhere - have every moral right to protest the conquerors, who took away their lands and homes.

The percentage of "Hispanics" (a term that did not exist prior to about 1978) in the Southwestern US that can trace their heritage back even 3 generations in the US is minimal... just a few percent.

The only part of the United States that has any legitimacy are those portions that were once part of the British Empire and which never seceded (as well as those areas obtained legally under international law, such as the Louisiana Purchase and Alaska).

By the standards of the 18th Century, the US Sothwest of today was bought and paid for in a settlement following the Mexican American War.

By your standards, no part of the world belongs to those settled in it today. The Angles and Saxons are interlopers in England. Gad! And those pesky Celts in Galicia... what right did they have to be there? I'm confusted, though, as to whom to complain... Atilla the Hun, Ghengis Kahn or Alexander the Great are all dead, so I just don't know.

Do you have any idea why so much of the world hates the US or do you just demonize those people and dismiss them as evil? Have you considered what the US has done to people in the Middle East to make some of them want to fight back?

Fred, my friend, with all due respect, I think no leader of the American Revolution ever sawed off the head of any human being and while doing so praised God (Allah).

That is an unfair comparison and also out of date (1770s vs 2000s)

BTW, having traveled to the most beautiful country of Ireland this past summer, and having visited many historic sites including the Irish National Museum in Dublin, I have an even deeper appreciation of what the Irish went through under British rule and their War of Independence.

The US is hated mostly because of the arrogance and jingoism that people like you believe. You see the world outside the us as primitive, but that is not true. A lot of people think as Apco does, and radio - especially conservative talk radio, but also radio news - deserves a good share of the blame.
Please consider that possibly people elsewhere are not so materialistic and the things Apco mention don't mean as much to them.
Also please note that on most social, economic and health measures the US is not at the top of the list.
Still a lot of people think the world is the Linc and want to keep shouting "we're number one!" It is simply not true.
And the statements Apco makes are just not accurate - although listening to (and believing what you hear) on the radio might make it seem so.

The reason our education and health have gone downhill (which is true) is because we let people who were never qualified to come in here and drain the system. Are you gonna say that's false. They don't even want to learn the language. Plus the liberals put heavy restraints on teachers and disiplinarians on keeping classes in order. Yes there was racism back then , back as we corrected in 1964, it lead beyond blacks who were here already and contribute to our history as well. Then it got beyond that, where all of a sudden the average educated hard working American male was being replaced with other nations, freaks, weidros, terrorist, illegals, sexually challenged (hey that's a PC term so give me dignity) mistakes and people who's origin isn't a second old here. And we were never able to rebound back to the status of pre-1964 again. Even the oldies stations are disappearing. (Got a keep it radio-related).
People who seem to hate American culture or brainwash good looking american women into self destruction I notice are usually freaks, disenfranchised, self hatred, or been molested themselves that have to take their anti race-American culture misfortune out on the rest of us.
And as much as this country has given back to other countries as far as Eithiopia, Tsunami in Sri Lanka, earthquakes in Mexico, etc.......we still are hated by those countries. They laugh as their government takes are funded raise money and gives their own a loaf of bread. It'a all in that hit recorded by former Canadian announcer Bryan Sinclair "Americans". David David David, many here feel you are pompous and arrogant in your dealings with others on any of these boards. You seem to be blind to your own deficiencies when they stand out to many here as a red light. Why can't you be humble once in a while? You'd gain respect rather than disdain.

As far as our nation's educational system is concerned, ever think of the problem of too many students crowding into classrooms thus prohibiting the teachers from giving the ones who really need it the attention they should get. Other countries don't have this kind of problem because their borders are restricted and that allows teachers to do their job efficiently. Too many people who are not authorized get into our country including pregnant women with or without children. Sorry for the change of the subject but it IS kind of related to the point of this thread.
