My First DX Catches!

So, my engineer and I were driving back from one of our AM transmitter sites tonight and were scanning the dial... noticed Top 40 music on the 103.7 frequency, which immediately caught both of our attention, since there is no 103.7 station in our market... Pulled off the road into a church parking lot, listened for a bit... and confirmed 103.7 WDBR / Springfield, IL! I've been fascinated by DXing, but hadn't actually experienced it yet, so it was a cool experience.

Anywho, here's what we caught, from just off of Route 37 between Marion and Johnston City, IL (used White Ash, IL as my location when searching milage):

93.9 WABZ-FM (93.9 ABE-FM / Jack) Sherman, IL 189 miles
98.7 WNNS-FM (Lite Rock 99, WNNS) Riverton, IL 186 miles
101.9 WQQL-FM (Cool 101.9 / Oldies) Springfield, IL 176 miles
103.7 WDBR-FM (CHR) / Springfield, IL 182 miles

We also caught a country station on 93.1, but didn't get any kind of identifying information, except for a positioner that I may or may not be remembering accurately, "93.1 Clear Country?"

Nothing extraordinary, but there ya go!
______________

I was getting several Saint Louis area stations here in Coldwater, MI this evening. Including your very own KSLZ-107.7. This was the first station I have ever confirmed on 107.7 besides our local WRKR-Portage, MI. And by logging KSLZ, I have now received more than one station on each frequency in my area.
______________

Good mid-distance stuff in Iowa

Congrats on the loggings, everyone. :-D Here's some of what I heard in the car Thursday night in Ames, IA.

"Star 102.3" Onawa/Sioux City (cutting right through the adjacent of our 70+ dBu local on 102.5, and sounding like a local itself!) About 175 miles.
98.5 KQKQ - Council Bluffs/Omaha (again, adjacent to a nearly-70 local, but significantly weaker than Star.) About 150 miles.
Hot 104.7 - Sioux Falls, almost 220 miles. This one was almost as strong as Star.
