Wow some haters on this board!!! Jet is actually correct!!! I love the competition! It makes it fun!!! I don't mind the negative comments about the station or the morning show!!!

The (no music) isn't hurting us in the morning! If you have access to the ratings then you would know that!!! Jet is killing at night!!!

Competition creates new ideas!!! Nard hits hard!!!

I thought I had seen it all, between this site and Lance Venta's new site, but that takes the cake. Why, if you are really Jon Phillips, are you posting on this board? Doesn't that set a poor example to your employees when you appear to be egging on what will likely become a pissing match?
 
Nard wants to be on K-HITS so bad he calls the night jock every night. I heard they even played a clip of him on the K-HITS night show other morning on The Beat. That's just pathetic, and great advertisment for K-HITS new night show that doesn't voice track and leave at 9PM. You'll never hear K-HITS mention The Beat on-air one time. They have more class, and simply no need to. That is for the underdogs!
 
well you will find alot of guys have a great night shows like Michael Tait (KTST OKLAHOMA CITY) he is on the twister and he sounds live. Alan Ayo (KDGE DALLAS) Voice Tracked Mornings for Channel 1049 in Cailf and he sounded live. Most people that are good at Voice Tracking can fool the average listener. Take Callers during the day and replay them at night.

If The Beat is really taping KHITS and playing parts of it back on their morning show, they really might want to rethink that. If the Renda people decide to get a lawyer involved, that unauthorized use of their intellectual property could get ugly.

When things go wrong (a lawsuit for example) Clear Channel's policy seems to be fire the people responsible first to cover their corporate butt and ask questions later.

Hey there GOOB-

I don't know who you are or who you THINK you are, but I don't Voice Track and leave at 9pm, if you read previous posts and maybe tried to get to know me you would know better. And as far as K-Hits NOT mentioning The Beat or anything involved with The Beat on their air, I do know for a fact that the new night guy has mentioned me and my show on several occasions since he started here. Or what about that time that K-Hits decided to co-brand themselves with a night-club owned by a convicted child molestor, when we broke the story listeners jammed their phone lines and pissed Stan off to the point that they couldn't do their bit at the time and that's what he decided to talk about. Should I bring out the airchecks? And besides you contradicted yourself in your own post, how can K-Hits NOT mention anything about the Beat or it's staff and have NARD on the air with their night jock, or on the air enough to get a solid recording that you accuse them of having and re-playing on our morning show?

And for being pathetic it sure seems to be winning, and not with the lowest common denomonator as some may suggest. Oh and I should ask, how does K-Hits have any more class than us, the staff at The Beat, or maybe how is it that we have none? Personally, I think we're both equal.

I'm still trying to figure out which one you are, is it Stan, Tod, Dylan, Mac, Krystal, Matt? Or is it you Sean?
 
So, how is it Jet that you are on the air and at the Beach at the same time? That seems a little strange. As an outsider to both stations, K-Hits clearly has the leg up. You guys keep saying you're winning 18-34 but I have yet to see it. Are there certain hours that you win? Is that winning?

I'm a sales guy, I know what K-Hits is selling for, I know what the Beat sells for-if they can find a client. They are KILLING you guys, it is not even a race.

Until they are hurt in the billing, you guys are a mosquito buzzing around their ear.

You guys are whiny!
 
In my experience, the ones who do the most talking are the ones who are the furthest behind.

K-Hits doesn't need to get on here and talk smack. They're too busy kicking tail.

How am I at the Beach and on the air at the same time? It's called a MARTI, i'm live FROM the club from 11 til 1 every Thursday. If you're a sales guy, you understand the concept of a remote right? I would think so. Or maybe you're just full of it....I think the latter. And besides, didn't you and I have an exchange already about VTing? I thought we cleared it up?

I still don't know what 18-34 numbers you're looking at but according to the most recent trend that I recieved at my desk from Arbitron, I am again, number 1. It's in black and white and NO, I am not going to risk my job just to prove you wrong by giving you specific numbers. If you're in sales, get it yourself.

And as far as my "being behind because I talk smack," feel that way if you want, but I'm not going to sit here and let ANYONE make statements about me, my radio station and my hard working colleagues that are blatently false. I don't like personal attacks and I don't appreciate people who make statements about the hard work and effort we all put in over here. If you have a beef with CC, feel free to vent all you want. If you are bitter because of any previous individual that worked for this company or more specifically, in this building, again, feel free to vent.

Bottom line is, both stations have staffs that work VERY hard at what they do. And both stations have talented individuals that do great things, on air and off. But at the end of the day the listener fills out the diary, and so far the listener has chosen us. Will that change? I don't know. But we will continue to work hard to keep your speculations from becoming reality. And as I've said before, competition does us ALL good. I mean seriously, have you heard the radio in Oklahoma City lately?

As far as the airchecks are concerned Givers, contact me and I will provide. But you won't just so you're cover isn't blown.
 
I'm not saying he does - because I have no way of knowing - but suppose Jet was VTing a few hours of his show every night - what's wrong with that?

It's 2006 guys - not 1986. What's wrong with making use of the technology available to you?

Sitting in a studio talking to the same bratty kids for 5 hours a night probably isn't the best use of his time - especially if he can farm some decent phone bits in 2 or 3 live hours and devote the rest of his time to imaging, promotions, music, etc.
 
Agreed... VT is a fact of life in today's radio. Fighting technology is counterproductive. As long as Jet doesn't get a static electric shock from his mic, his VT sessions probably would be indisquinshable from his normal breaks. :D

Just pick'in on ya Jet. Keep up the good work! It's good to hear SOME jocks out there that still give a damn about the product.
 
Here's an example,

Does Coke mention Pepsi? Does Budweiser Mention Michelob!! Come on it's marketing 101!!! Our show and K-hits show are extremely different! How we each market of our shows should be different! If you don't like a certain show then you should'nt listen to it. I use my real name on this board and the ones who seem to have the most critique don't!

For being such a hated show we sure have a lot of critics on this board!!! If you have access to the ratings then you know who is doing what!

Hey I started radio working at a polka station!!!! I have the aircheck if you don't believe me! If you really want to make people laugh you could play them on your show if you have one!! Now that's funny right there!!!
