Currently, I'm listening in on a new catch...the British VOLMET station MPL-2 'Witney', on 11253 kHz usb.
I've also found a useful VOLMET link here ~> http://www.dxinfocentre.com/volmet.htm
Thanks for the VOLMET info., it's bookmarked.
What local or UTC time are you hearing 11253? Have you heard Shannon, Ireland on 3413 after about 0300 UTC?

No problem on the VOLMET link. 11253 Witney I was picking up around 2100-2200 UTC. I'm currently hearing them very well at 5450.

If I'm up after 0300 UTC (11pm local) I'll give Shannon a try, but at the moment (0130 UTC) 3413 is coming in nice and strong at my location, here in eastern Ontario (south of Ottawa).

Just to update things here, as of 0330 UTC...

Yes, Shannon can still be heard well on 3413, they are also up on 5505. Witney is coming in well on 5450 and a new catch is Santa Maria (Portugal) ATC - plus nearly all the aircraft they're talking with - on 5598. All these are being heard in USB mode.

I've received Shannon on 3413 (weakly) near Chicago more than once recently and it was quite strong from southern New England when I was there last month. Also, in June, I picked up ATC Santa Maria very strongly from Nashua, NH ( I believe it was also on 5598) - in fact it was stronger than New York that night.

AIR comes in on 9425 kHz at local sunrise, at varying levels. 9870 only heard about 3 or 4 times.

9870 starts coming in after local sunset here, shortly after 0000 UTC...another good signal tonight. I'll give 9425 a try later (is it the same domestic VBS program, or another program?), however at the moment it's getting splatter from Greece's ERA-5 (Foni Tis Elladas) coming in very strong on 9420.

Yes, same here last night. Santa Maria was coming in like a local, as were many of the aircraft in contact with it.

I also heard Shannon Aeradio (Shanwick ATC) on 3016 kHz, very wealky...I just happened to hear the frequency for Shannon be given to a KLM flight, by Santa Maria ATC, so I went hunting for it...:D
