As some of you know I own a Harris Stereo 80. It came to my hands with a few mods (Two relays were placed on channel 1 and 2. The mutes were messed)
On the last week I've beeen looking around it and managed to remove/bypass the relays. The mics are turning on with the A-P switch. I had the need to replace two transistors on the relay control board, wich I've already made. Now I'm struggling with the intermitent contacts on the relays when all seems to be ok. I'm not able to mute "studio b" speakers, and the CR ones. The console wires are hardened and dried (I suspect thats the cause for the intemitence).
It's very difficult to place the relay control board back to it's place so I decided to make wire extensions so that the pc stays above i'ts original place. The lack of tools unables me to leave it as I want (heat shrink tube, hot air gun, etc.) Even the multimeter test probe broked when I was checking continuties :
