My most recent DX pick-up

Using a Sony pocket radio that I paid ten dollars for, I pulled in WSM from Nashville- I am in Binghamton, NY.
That's a distance of 959 miles- signal faded in and out a bit, but I was able to listen for close to two hours.
This was on last Monday night.

The model # on the radio is ICF-S10MK2, it has pretty good sound on it for AM and FM. Well worth the ten bucks.

Will share further reports as I go along.

Great radio - I just picked up a handful from J&R Music for $10/each, including shipping. Here is a great review of it on RadioIntel.com:

Actually, we have been talking about it, in the Sangean Pocket-Radio thread. The Sony is, as good as, my more expensive digital PLL radios, and I now use the Sony exclusively (I grew up on transistor radios in the 1960s). Here are my DX catches from Maryland, with the Sony:

KRLD Dallas (1200 miles)
WWL New Orleans (1000 miles)
WHO Des Moines (900 miles)
Various Canada (Toronto, Quebec, Montreal, etc.)
