My Network TV gets renewed (and a little ratings data)

Lots of people on here keep asking when this network will go away. The answer is (as I've said repeatedly) it won't. This article spells it out pretty well. Pretty impressive viewership numbers listed in this story too. Puts it not far off from Univision in total viewers if this is accurate.

You're right, it has no reason to leave. Fairly popular network/cable programming for cheap, with more local spot time.

Too bad Smackdown left for cable, but I have an idea for them: Remember the syndicated Afterburn and The Bottom Line both produced by WWE? Well, I heard they were actually still in production and being distributed outside the U.S., so it would make perfect sense for My Network TV to broadcast those shows!

I don't think that will happen with the resurrection of WWE Superstars for WGN America. I remember reading rumors [at the time] suggesting WWE execs wanting WGN America in the mix to someday clear Smackdown if MyNet folded. When they secured a deal for SyFy to air it, that probably put a lid on any future presence on broadcast TV, other than specials on NBC.

Well, I heard about plans for a show similar to what's on late night. I do believe I've asked similar questions about it before, but here it is again: Has the idea been to the chopping block already? And what was Craig Kilborn's new show again? Maybe that could air on My Network TV. Also, here are some other ideas for programming the network could air as opposed to just repeats:

1. Bring back Game Show Marathon, previously on CBS

2. Bring back the celebrity edition of Family Feud hosted by Al Roker that aired briefly in Summer 2008 on NBC

3. I remember Temptation airing a primetime special on My Network TV in 2007 just before it's syndicated run...Why not bring that back?

4. I do believe there was a petition to save Legend Of The Seeker...Why not bring that back?

5. OK, this next idea kinda contradicts the others, but why not air classic episodes of The Simpsons (Don't have a cow, man)?

6. How about...Uh-oh, I'm all out of ideas! AAAH!
