My New Blog

Travis, Thanks for the blog, I enjoyed reading about the Montery/Salinas/Santa Cruz radio market. Sorry to read KNRY might be closing. Their tower on Cannery Row should be a historic landmark. It's been there for as long as I remember. I listened to them way back when they were KMBY and the battle for ratings was between KDON 1460 and KMBY 1240.

Glad you liked it, Montery/Salinas/Santa Cruz is one of my favorite markets personally, the ratings are kind of disappointing though, since about half the stations aren't even in the ratings.

I heard that the KDON calls were originally at 1240, does anyone have any idea when the KDON calls went to 1460? Were both stations Top 40 when you were listening? Does anyone have any idea when KDON moved to 102.5?
