Couldn't afford the 5 which I really like. The price helped push the purchase over the edge. Comparison to stations in Indianapolis is how this gets judged.
The DHL driver was wondering why I was so happy to see her truck........
Easily loud and clean, easily well processed. Aftter playing with it all night and sleeping on it then comparing. Using the Cosmic or Rock and Roll Preset out of the box seems to be where to start.
Clipping can distort if driven but the clipper is the difference between this box and other brands or even our old Unity 2000.
removed the Compeller and ran the bt directly to the Omnia to discern the difference. Output of our broadcast tools switcher was overdriving the One with no relief from the input control. After running the bt level down the processing ability seems evident. With our format (Contemp Christian) we have elements of many formats (Country to Rock) and on every preset the bass seemed high so it was brought down. The guy that does Christian rap will want his own preset.
On stations looking for the magic bass response this is a God Send as you can use this to establish the perfect bass that we haven't been able to get from our older Orban or Unity boxes. Kind of nice to have the ability to have bass.
Already calls about signal to noise in areas we have been lacking. We are in the middle of an antenna issue also. Several thought we had the problem fixed after adding the One.
The One is really set for mid to better processing out of the box. Haven't tried classical but thanks for that too. Unlike the unity it can be placed on air without many variations.
Removed A3M plugs to the unity and placed them in the omnia One, moved the composite out. I didn't have to change the level to the STL either.
I am sure I will tweak for weeks but the first response is : Great unit. Works loud, clean, and makes a huge difference.
Delivery was less than a week. Malaysian kids near Cleveland are working overtime. Selling like I phones?
