My own personal "rewound"...Hot 97 (1991)

I've finally cleaned out my mother's old house and found a TONLOAD of tapes (airchecks...so to speak) that date around 1990-1991.

The majority of them were Hot 97 dance parties with Glenn Friscia mixes but I also did manage to tape some material from stations such as 98.7 Kiss, when the format was current R&B at that time with their "Kiss Mix At 6", WNYU and some from WCWP (C.W. Post).

While the tapes were mainly music, you did hear some familiar voices (such as Ricky Ricardo introing Rare Arts - "Boricua Posse")

There are about 100 tapes altogether! In that sense, I'm driving around with my own personal dance "rewound" going on.

And when I do listen, it's amazing how Hot 97 at that time was VERY progressive in bringing out the newer material. Then again, I believe dance was much more embraced in the masses back then as it is now (thanks to Hip-Hop and CHR).

How about listing some of them on the airchecks board and starting some trades?

I can do that. I don't know the exact dates of the airchecks but they do go to 1991, that I know for sure.
