PURE DELIGHT FOR BOB FROM BERNE. THIS SERIOUSLY CALLS FOR A CELEBRATION AND I SUGGESTED TO RIC ABOUT A MORNING BROADCAST FROM JUMPIN JACKS IN SCOTIA WHERE WE CAN ALL EAT HOT DOGS WITHOUT THE BUN (JUST THE WAY RIC LIKES). Thanks, Reporter. Maybe the guy or gal who read that did not see your post that separated paragraphs in real time and posted before he or she saw it. This happens on these boards sometimes.

I couldn't agree with you more. It can be very difficult to read a very long post with all capitals and no paragraphs (and sometimes run-on sentences. Grammar and writing "issues" is one of my pet peeves!

For those who don't know, that's his particular writing style. If the goobers out in Berne can understand, then the rest of us should be able to decode it as well.

AMonFM...well said! and I do not even know you OR BobFromBerne but I agree that some posts on message boards are wasted energy on grammar or spelling mistakes. People type fast and may make mistakes or people have a certain writing style. Some writing styles are more user-friendly than others but at least BobFromBerne's post had some interesting content and was not some bash-fest like we often see on this board.

Problem is... there's not a whole heck of alot going on radio-wise in this town. The exception would probably be the periodic Ed Levine format flips and the revolving door at FLY. Even those so-called 'news' items get boring after awhile. But the slamfest this board is noted for is really something that's been a hallmark of the RI Albany/HV board since it's inception - although I will cede that the board was better in it's original incarnation, before all the out-of-towner trolls that pratically *live* on this site posting everywhere started commenting on local things they know nothing about; and preaching good message board etiquette to us less edgumukated Upstater's.

And you know the problem is only getting worse when readers here are lucky enough get the insights from a pro who's been in this market for years, only to be slammed at every turn. It's happened to you, to guys like Uncle Vito, and a few others along the way. That's why this board has little credibility in both the R-I community and the broadcast community, and is not taken seriously by anybody anymore. Ever see Scott Fybush post here? Nope... instead we get trolls like 'The Reporter'. Gee, thanks...

And for a seemingly small market like Albany, we are lucky to have two popular message boards. This one, and the one at northriverbroadcast.com which seems to have better moderation and more people who actually work in broadcasting posting over there. The difference is night & day when compared to this forum.

Lisa, I for one am glad that you post here, and your comments and opinions are welcomed anytime. Don't let the trolls chase you (or any other jocks) away. Of course, in this enviroment, I couldn't blame any of the pros in this market for *not* using their real name when posting here.
