We could make this a game and see who gets the most right. Unfortaniatly no prize.

1. Eddy Zack
2.Mike Sheridan
3. Rudy Cheeks
4. Lou Brutus
5. Mike Gonsalves The doc
6. Steve White
7. Mary Ann Sorrentino
8. Tony Dibiasio

I don't agree with some names mentioned but mostly all are logical choices if you get into the heads of those whose votes count. But Tony Di Biasio? Puhleeze!

1. Paul And Al
2. Mike Sheridan
3. Tanya Cruise
4. Giovannni
5. Geoff Charles
6. Tony Bristol
7. Big John Bina
8. Ron St. Pierre

Each one has been in Providence radio for at least 20 years. They all deserve an award just for that.

Um, P&A were inducted in 2008. Giovanni was inducted in 2009.
No WALE, WARL, or Radio Disney? I thought they were the three "it" stations in Providence.

Ok well I don't really keep track of these things. So I don't know who has been inducted and who hasn't.

I disagree with Tanya Cruise.Someone picked on me for Tony Dibiasio. Here's why he should eventually should be inducted.

Tony D and Mike Sheridan pioneered Traffic reporting in the state.Whether you like him or not it my opinion is based on something new at the time.

Another thread said Chuck Wilson and Big Ange. These are both good picks. Now if someone says:
Francis Bataglia . I'm going to shoot my self.

I'm not saying that my list includes people that I am necessarily a fan of. As a matter of fact I can tell you right now that I'm no big fan of Paul and Al or of Tanya Cruise. However I do have to regonize the fact that they have contributed to radio in this city for more than 20 years. I think that deserves some regonition (no matter how horrible I think they may be).

Kenny:

You wouldn't have to worry about shooting yourself, because a giant mob of people with tar and feathers would be after whoever posts that snake's name before you ever got to pull the trigger. ;D

I was thinking of Ernie last night. But I thought maybe he had won already. He was awsome. What Providence station did he work at?

Ernie worked at WHIM, 1110, when it was among the first....if not the very first....station in Providence to run truly independent. By that I mean not dependent on network programming like soap operas and evening network news blocks. Anyone remember Gabriel Heatter, Lowell Thomas and John Cameron Swayze (before he went TV with The Camel News Caravan)?

Lotta great names being suggested here.

For a different angle--these are my "great 8" picks for people...not yet mentioned in this thread...who should make it into the hall over the next few years, though not necessarily yet this year.

Joanie Edwardson
Tom Holt
David Jones
Tad Lemire
Mike Montecalvo
Bruce Palmer
Paul Perry
the Troll (just for fun - !)

Just my 2-cents.

Ernie Anderson
Jones and Joan
Steve Kass
Chuck Wilson
Geoff Charles
John Bina
Big Ange
Tony Bristol

1.Art Lake
2.Big Ange
3.Tony Bristol
4.Ron St Pierre
5.Big John Bina
6.Eddie Zack
7.Mike Sands
8.Bud Toevs

I wonder if Ange will make it in this year. Like him or not, he had a big impact on Rhode Island Radio.

All good choices, and most of these names have been nominated. You can keep up with who has received the honor by going to the Hall website - www.rirhof.org]www.rirhof.org. The previous classes are posted, and click on the photos of the inductees to get sound clips...
