This really sucks. I am 28 and that station has been on in the background of my life since I was 7!!! I know that radio is a business, but why say "screw you" to loyal listeners if you want them to keep listening to your products? Why not offer a warm welcome instead of saying "Deal with it" in your liners?

If I did not already have Sirius, this flip would have been the straw that broke the camel's back and made me go out and subscribe. And trust me... 60's vibrations on Sirius just isn't the same.

Maybe someday we will here some of these great talents on satellite radio.

There're great values in the JMK jocks. Especially in Dick Biondi.
If there's a new FM Oldies outlet here. Dick can bring with him over a
half million dollars in business.

Webstream, schebstream...

There are a lot of people in their late 40's and early 50's that dont even know how to work a computer, let alone own one.

It's amazing how empty the FM dial seems without 'JMK.

The quality of the stream sounds like crap. 20kbps. Luckally, I have high speed. If I didn't it would be hard to listen. I had a friend try it for me and it worked awful for him when it did work. Special thanks to vgi for posting this on the national board. Otherwise it wouldn't work for me at all because RadioMat is "not compatible" with my computer.

Anybody know where the stream originates from? I was thinking the original WJMK studio because they kept the air staff and Jack got a new studio but I can't be sure. It sounds like WJMK running jockless like they did overnights. Programming is exactly what I have come to expect and love from 104.3 except there's no stopsets and there is somewhat of a wider variety. I would definately buy a IBOC compatible radio to listen to this.

and IBOC according to the website. Too bad HD Radios are expensive as heck.

WLYF/Miami uses Sonixtream to stream their station. I once emailed their PD regarding a streaming question, and he alluded to the base of the streaming company being somewhere in Illinois. So it may be a nearby job.<P ID="signature">______________

The stream that is currently working off www.wjmk.com is 32kbps and sounds pretty good (not fantastic). This was not working for me until late on Saturday night. If I enter mms://stream1.dc1.sonixtream.com/wjmk-fm into "open URL" in Windows Media Player the player tries to connect but finally gives up with a "server not responding" message. My guess is that they are using a different stream than what they were earlier. I'm sure it still originates out of sonixtream as all Infinity staitions are using them as a provider.

All I hear is continous oldies with 104.3 WJMK jingles. I have not heard a single comercial or a jock since this started working on Saturday night.

Anyone else experience anything different?

The stream link keeps stopping and starting. Sometimes it works. Sometimes it doesn't.

Sonixtream is a product of Broadcast Electronics, based in Quincy.
