My Review On Squeezebox

I have had Squeezebox now for a few weeks...I have to say at first I thougth maybe it wasn't going to be as good as the Wi-Fi Internet Radio because I couldn't find any info. that the Squeezebox stores as many as 10,000 stations as Wi-FI is known for.
I was also told that many of the features require to have your PC on...After all this I still decided to buy one of these Squeezeboxes...

First of all I think Squeezebox rules! not only don't you need your PC on you can explore other radio networks including Shoutcast, Live365, XM Radio, Sirius Radio, and a few others. You can search for your favoirte radio station and add it to your favoirtes list.
Right now they only support Windows Media Player URL's but most of the streams today are from Windows Media so its no big deal not to have real audio.

Squeezebox has now merged with RadioTime to allow searching or browsering any radio stations in their website. They have disabled Real Audio and other formats so only Windows Media radio stations will show up with the search. I think its great anyone interested should look into Squeezebox. I'm glad I decided to get one instaed of Wi-Fi Radio.

Keep in mind Squeezebox can also play all your stored mp3s...BTW, you see all the artist, titles of songs, radio station info. on the screen while listening.

Can you be more specific on what is it's web site or where can you find it, and cost?
Most people after that review stil are baffled on exactly what it is.

Sorry...thought Squeezebox was well known...They have two versions, one is Wired Squeezebox $249.99 and Wireless $299,99...both don't require your PC on to listen to Internet Radio. All you need to do is do a search for Squeezebox to find more info. on them.
i believe Amazon even has reviews. I have found all positive reviews...
check the URL below to find more info. on Squeezebox.

Thanks,

- Dave

It looks interesting and I'd love to talk to someone who actually owns one.

A co-worker had a similar unit once made by Turtle Beach and he said it wasn't all that great. It would be nice to see the improvement with this type of technology as I'm sure there are many who would love to enjoy web-based radio without the fuss of leaving their computers on.

Perhaps I'll even break down and buy one just to play with.
