I was gonna post this with the other post's, but I figured it would be best with a thread of its own. First of all, its off the air right now, nothing on the stream but White Noise, this has happened a few times already so I wonder if when people try to tune in inside the Vegas metro, they may not even be on the air. Their playlist seems to be a 90 minute loop, all recurrents and gold so far, no Urban or pop at all.

Im guessing since their signal keeps going off the air, it may not be operating at full power, and not tweaked out for maximim coverage yet, maybe in a few weeks or so the signal may get better, plus they are supposed to get a 200 Watt translator near Dowtown, but on a mountain top, that should help alot with Metro coverage, but all they have is a CP for it right now, which means the tower isnt even being built yet, so the translator could be months, or even years away.

Also, I know nobody likes the name of the station, what a way to keep the stereo type that all Dance fans are druggie's, which we know isnt true. They wouldnt be able to sell Rehab Radio to advertiser's either. It's obvious that the station is eventually going to be called VIBE, since its calls are KVBE, which I think is a good name for a Dance channel, especially if they mix in a little Urban and Pop, which I think they will need to do in order to get good ratings, be a station like Slam FM in Holland, minus the Dutch Jocks.

Anyway, my point is, I think this station is just in a test mode, and isnt what the station will sound like in a few weeks or months from now. Their stream quality is super good though, and surprisingly doesnt buffer in and out like most New Extremly High Bandwidth streams.

Radio-Locator lists it as currently off the air. It may not have changed its status just yet. Why are they streaming off the FM radio? It's not that hard to tap into the audio going into the STL, right after the EAS, that will sound much better online if it's at a high bandwidth. It's great that we're getting a new dance station in the country, that should help a lot with getting dance on the charts. Seriously, Rehab Radio is the worst name for a station.
Can you post the address of the stream here?

Looks worse than Energy AZ coverage. Thats horrible, looks like it cover's 10 percent of the North East Suburbs on Vegas, and the stick is out in the unpopulated Desert where no one can hear it. It really does look like more of a St George Utah station actually. How many clubber's live there. :-[

St. George is booming, but mainly b/c a lot of old people are moving there. It's a big retirement community and I'm sure they can't get enough of Rehab Radio on their Bingo nights there :D

If there's nothing to interfere with 94.5 in downtown Vegas, upper 50s-lower 60s dBu is pretty strong. It will be static free on car radios and will come in on most portable radios, except the crappy ones. Once the translator downtown is on the air, they will cover the metro very well.
The FCC should seize one of the pirate station transmitters in New York City or Boston and give it to KVBE :) If they find a suitable tower for the translator, it would only take a few months to get the translator on the air.

Yeah, thats if it was already approved, but the CC hasnt even been approved by the FCC yet?
