Spanish CHR on the dial has worked very well in the not too distant past.

Maybe on another signal-- perhaps on a Cape May-only signal where a large portion of the advertising is based on the nightclubs (similar to Z107's advertisers).

What a waste.....Why take 2 50,000 watt stations with pretty much the same coverage area and simulcast each other?

umm, where? You didn't mean La Mega 104.9, did you? I don't recall them ever being a player....in EITHER market. Sorry, needed to call you on that.

Q107, perhaps? IMO, 106.7 is now a waste of a frequency. I know, cry me a river for the death of DOX. I'm sure it'll do good, but still.......

I'll agree here. Take FPG and just flip it for ummmmmmm...what's his reasoning for flipping FPG? Uh huh, that's what I thought as well.
______________

Yeah, I meant la mega! :) In the Atlantic City market, they made top 10 while focusing their programming on Philadelphia (and not Atlantic City). That, of course, was before there was rhythmic programming on 99.3, so the exact Spanish CHR format as before might not be the best option.

I only had 12+ figures available to me, but I remember them doing quite well with it.
______________

I wouldn't say WEMG did all that well ...

Fall 2000 - tied with WFPG-AM for # 17
Spring 2001 - tied with WGBZ for # 16
Fall 2001 - tied with WZXL for # 12
Spring 2002 - tied with WRTQ for # 15
Fall 2002 - tied with WCZT for # 14
Spring 2003 - tied for WBHX for # 38 << the loop ?

For some reason I thought it did better. Thank you for the clarification!
______________

Would that be a big deal? Granted, 104.9 has a MONSTER signal. You could drop Klezmer songs interspersed with fart noises and it would crack the top 10. Again, not disputing your argument....but I think Mega was a top performer due to signal strength, not necessarily format strength.
______________
