My Take On True Internet Radio Dance Stations

I am a fanatic of dance music. I love all kinds. I am also a huge fan of trying to figure out who is treating this small niche format with the respect.

For internet Radio ONLY Stations..

#1 I am going to have to say iPartyRadio is my favorite (Perfect balance - gayness, trance, house, pop)
#2 Energy 98.1 (a little too gay circuit sounding but have the best presentation
#3 1Club.fm - amazing non dance hits stations but their dance hits is pretty awful (kind of weird) - their alter trance and dj santana sets make this one of favorites. their site really sucks though
#4 DI.fm - I love this station but their channels need updating bad. Their trace channel sounds like it has not been updated in 5 years.
#5 1.fm - these guys are cool but way too euro sounding
#6 Fusion Radio - I just do not like their site. It is too dark and their streams sound very circuit
 
Great post. I'm impressed with the way you nailed each of these stations without putting sugarcoating it.
I will say this thouhg about di.fm, people usually tune into their channels for all the world class DJ shows. Their trance channel is also nowadays a lot more up to date than it used to be...
 
What about the breakbeat channels on 1club and DI FM,,,, plus both DI and 1club have something for everyone, so if you dont like what one channel is playing you got something for everyone.. If you like mainstream dance with a straight male appeal maybe you would like the following channels better.

All these stations have a male targetted dance format,,, but obviously Females and Gays are welcome to listen too... All these stations have their own local mixshows and have been known to play a non dance track once in awhile...
 
Fusion is straight up gay with a lot of circuit songs/mixes and targeting. Iparty leans towards the pop remix side of dance and has found an audience. Energy 98 has maybe 5 songs in the library that are circuit sounding and the least gay sounding station. I guess it's perception.

I'd love for you to post sample hours - same hour for all stations and then back up your post with descriptions. That will be interesting to read on how an American perceives what styles of dance music is being played.

Or maybe you can call out an hour and have each station post their scheduled songs for that hour.

What do you think about post a scheduled hour or maybe 3 - morning, midday, afternoon. someone not associated with our stations picks the hours (chrles???)
