My theories about these boards may be true

Since my replies to egregious and incorrect postings regarding my station have been removed from the "Lib Talk" string, but 'Captain Happy's' have not, I must presume that as I had feared, this is a place to come and demean and defame former employers, not discuss radio. If I am wrong, then I'd like to see a reason as to the editing posted.

Thank you,

Curious if the Twighlight zone has hit Radio Info.com? There are a number of missing threads and posts. Did something happen and they all get warped up into a twighlight zone?
Curious...

DB took a spill and had to restore the backup from last night. One of my commands was somehow replicated to the entire post table...and to save resources, we don't do a bin log for me to just roll it back.

I'm upset because my sexy schematic sketch on the engineering board got wiped, my rant about XM on the xm board and plenty of funny jokes from the central pa board.

Sorry to hear about the crash. Like Sam doesn't have enough to do in Carlisle everyday!

I hope Cap'n Happy read them, anyway.

Yes, another thread had started about whether a station would pick up lib talk in the Philly market without a time-brokered agreement. I posted my ideas, but the thread (which was only two posts, maybe) was gone this morning. I thought I had crossed a line or something!
I'm kinda bored with the lib talk thing. I'm not into restarting the thread.

If anything, it's the other way. The moderator removed individual posts and whole threads in the past when he believed things had gotten out of hand.

At the same time, most of us have received bad treatment in radio. You don't see broadcasting companies on Fortune Magazine's "Best Places to Work" list. Low pay. NO job security. Poor benefits. And often personal abuse from management. And most people in radio continue to work long and hard in spite of all that. But their willingness to do so doesn't mean they don't resent the treatment they often receive.

Even the military recognizes that soliders need to bitch. So do people in the trenches of radio. Discussing radio includes what it's like to work in radio. And let's face it, tact, diplomacy and skill at winning friends and influencing people are qualities not often found in radio people (me included).

Like doctors and cops, many in radio do have a "conspiracy of silence" about abuses in radio. I think airing linen is a good thing, although not always pleasant.

I'm pretty sure I posted something in that thread too. Seems to be gone. Who knows? (But even more importantly, who cares?!)
