My thought on kcnl

I had the same thought. It soulds very much like Alex Lucas from Preciosa did the whole thing. In fact, the jingles sound like they were sung and written by the same group, as well; they have the same tone and flavor.

The strangest thing is that the music significantly overlaps KSJO / La Preciosa, with lots of 70's songs that big ACs like KLVE, WAMR and WPAT do not play any more. The currents are, in a word, bizarre. I've programmed that format since, well, uh, 1964, and this incarnation is very odd.

I just find it odd that they'd blow up nearly a 3 share station that sells nice with Classic Rock ... Even if they got every KBRG listener (which they don't have a prayer of doing), they'll wind up with nearly similar numbers - and probably a tougher sell than Alternative.

David would know better, but this seems like one too many Spanish language stations in the Bay Area.

I concur, but that station was just another voice-tracked waste of air like so many others.

The station was broadcasted out of a box in a hallway.

BROADCASTED is not a word. The correct word is broadcast. Check with Noah (Webster, as in the dictionary.) This is like talking about the "internets."
