My Three Sons, Don Grady, middle son

Wasn't Grady the OLDEST son? The Livingston kids played the other two.

You are forgetting Tim Considine who played the original oldest son Mike from 1960-65, during the black&white years on ABC; also the same years William Frawley played Bub O'Casey. Barry Livingston came along after that in the Ernie role about the time the show moved to CBS and color production.

Don's real last name was Agrati. He was a Mouseketeer
under his real name. He also dabbled in rock music with
a group called the Yellow Balloon, which had a modest hit
by the same title in 1967 (it went to #25 on the Billboard
charts).

And yes, Lani O'Grady is his sister. Before "Eight Is Enough"
she played on Andy Griffith's short-lived "Room 222" wannabe,
"The Headmaster."

I like that Yellow Balloon song, it's a feel good Partridge Family type sound. I did not know he had anything to do with making this song. I enjoy My Three Sons. I never got a big laugh out of the show but it was a feel good show, like the Partridge Family.

So call up your local oldies station today (except those of you in Boston :'()
and ask the jock to play Yellow Balloon in honor of Don.

Those of you who are a little more adventurous might want to ask the DJ
to play Children Of St. Monica by The Windupwatchband. (Also Don.)

Also the Mother who Played Chip Douglas Mother in Law Pass away also and she was also Mike Douglas Mother in law also. Actress Doris Singleton,

She had two recurring roles on My Three Sons. She first played Helen Morrison, the mother of Meredith MacRae's Sally character who married Mike Douglas in the 1964-65 season. In 1970-71, she played Margaret Williams, the mother of Polly (played by Ronne Troup) who married Chip Douglas.

I love Me-TV, but they messed up on the promo for their "My Three Sons" tribute marathon. They referred to Robbie as the oldest son.

Well, for the episodes they have (except for the first color episode) he IS the oldest son..And as I watched them first run, I never knew of the earlier ABC episodes..

Yes, as someone else mentioned, Grady was both the middle and the oldest son depending on the season. The first five years on ABC, he was the middle, with Tim Considine as the oldest. When Tim had a contract dispute after moving to CBS, Grady became the oldest.

I didn't see MTS during its original run, but saw it many times in syndication. I was a kid in the mid-late 70s. They only played the color CBS episodes, so I saw Mike & Sally Ann's wedding and never saw them again. I knew there was an oldest brother, but really the oldest to me was Robbie, especially when Mike never returned.

So is Gail O'Grady who appeared as the receptionist on NYPD Blue.
According to the bios for both Don Grady and Gail O'Grady, Don Grady was born Don Agrati in California while Gail O'Grady was born Gail O'Grady in Detroit, Michigan. His parents and her parents are not the same people. So, NO, they are not brother and sister.

Thanks for the clarification.
