MY TV on Directv?

anyone know if or when a MY TV station will be added to the Directv lineup? also, any plans on changing the CW affiliation from CW-Baltimore WNUV-TV to maybe CW-11 New York? thanx!

I wouldn't count on it. The MY affiliates will probably still only be carried as part of local packages.

They didn't add national UPN or WB affiliates, and there was a lot more demand for them than there has ever been for MY.

If you had Dish Network, you'd be able to get WWOR New York (depending on your location). It seems to be ok'd for most markets.

I wonder why they carry the national ION feed? Are there a lot of areas that don't have local access to ION?

Paxson pays DirecTV to carry ION. It's no less an informercial channel than "ShopNBC" or "JewelEncrustedWhatever" as far as NewsCorp is concerned.

Edit: corrected typo on Paxson's name.

I thought that ION renegotiated their deal with DirecTV and agreed to provide them a special feed "ION Plus" which has significantly fewer infomercials, select programming from ION Life, all regular ION programming, and a bit of public domain classic TV to fill any remaining gaps.

Also, don't some Comcast systems carry ION Plus as well? I had read that somewhere before.

In southwest Florida Comcast carries the "ION Plus" feed. I'll watch it from time to time when I'm over at my sister's house. Most of the day before 6 p.m. it's "ION Life." If there are any public domain shows they must be on in the early morning hours because I haven't seen any once "ION Life" is on.

The Classic TV may have been dropped from ION Plus once ION Life programming was added.

Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/ION_Television#ION_Plus
Separate national feeds have been made available to DirecTV, Time Warner Cable, Comcast, and non-O&O stations, featuring programming from ION Life in place of paid programming that airs on the main network.

Prior to the launch of ION Life, the ION Plus feeds carried reruns of cancelled PAX original programs (Miracle Pets, Beat the Clock), as well as movies and sitcom episodes (I Married Joan, The Beverly Hillbillies).

I don't think DIRECTV won't add the national network of My Network TV the only way u can see My Network TV is to have a over the air digital tv or HDTV/SDTV tv set.

Depends on your market. Hartford/New Haven gets MY on channel 59 from New Haven, cable channel 9 in most areas, hence the reason they call themselves "MY 9".

I wonder location even matters. Out of curiosty the other day I went to Dish Network's website and saw where one can get the superstation package ( WWOR, WPIX, KTLA and WSBK ) in Denver even though that city has its own full-time MY-TV affliate KTVD. OTOH when these channels do go network does KWGN and KTVD block out that programming, that I don't know.
