My version of Active Rock

I believe Active Rock should play nothing older than 1990, stations that play Classic and Modern Rock are mainstream rock.

How would this do up against powerhouses like WMMR, KUPD, WDVE?

Hour 1
3 Doors Down - Kryptonite
Alter Bridge - Ghosts of Days Gone By
Theory of a Deadman - Not Meant to Be
Saving Abel - Addicted
Shinedown - Unity
Halestorm - Love Bites (So Do I)
Black Keys- Lonely Boy

Hour 2
Puddle of Mudd - Blurry
Staind - Outside
Tool - Sober
Pearl Jam - Alive
Collective Soul - Shine
Smashing Pumpkins - Bullet with Butterfly Wings
Alice in Chains - No Excuses

Hour 3
Seether - Tonight
Rise Against - Savior
Foo Fighters - These Days
Crossfade - Cold
Mudvayne - Not Falling
Slipknot - Before I Forget
Evanescence - Bring Me to Life

Hour 4
Pop Evil - Monster You Made
Adelitas Way - Criticize
Deuce - America
Linkin Park - Papercut
Default - One Late Night
Slipknot - Before I Forget
Slash - You're A Lie

Agreed... only seven songs per hour? Are these songs being played during Bubba The Love Sponge's show? ???

I agree it's a bit on the light side in numbers as well as strength. You need to throw in some bands like Megadeth, Deftones, Korn, FFDP, Mudvayne, Gravity Kills, C.O.C, Suicidal Tendencies, Iron Maiden and Pantera to even things out. KUPD typically throws in those bands along with the My Darkest Days, Offspring, Linkin Park, Smashing Pumpkins, etc. The difference is the imaging, voiceovers and jocks at that station match the intensity of the music. A lot of stations play the same music, but they fail to have that whole package!

I'd LOVE a station that would follow some Offspring with Suicidal leading into ,say, Stabbing Westward followed by Pantera....etc....but I wouldn't necessarily call it Active rock.....just HEAVY......and oh yeah maybe a little pre 90s Alice in Chains just to make it crunchy....

Alice In Chains' first record was released in 1990. Prior to that they were a "hair band" in Seattle called "Sleze."

Kinda... Staley brought the name, with a different spelling, with him when he joined Cantrell and Company.
