Adult Top 40 and Hot AC is a thin line these days, most hot AC stations in larger markets have morphed in to a very current based format that would be considered Adult Top 40, Hot AC as it once was is less common....until around 7 or 8 years ago a lot of Hot AC's were still holding on to the old "80s, 90s, and today" strategy but most have totally ditched the 80s finally and in most cases moved forward from the 90s at a rapid clip to a current/recurrent heavy strategy...WMYI is a lot like the Hot AC's still found in Midwestern markets, especially midsized and smaller ones that took a longer time to evolve.
