I just bought a MyFi at Best Buy today.

Here's some stuff:

1. XM 2 Go (recording) will not work when you're using it with the battery.

2. Be careful when plugging in the Car/Home antennas. The Plug area is a little big so you're gonna have to use a lot of pushing. Be careful not to break the prongs off.

3. Charge the battery fully and keep using it till its entirely drained. When you do that the battery strength meter will be exact.

4. The FM modulater's output isn't as strong as Roady2 so you may want to use a higher frequency if you're going to be listening to a radio with the modulater farther away from the unit. I was using 88.3 on my Roady2.

5. When using the FM modulater the stereo pilot on your radio will go off when you tune to a talk channel or traffic/weather channel. Roady2 didn't do this. I guess it makes sense.

Its a very nice radio.
______________

You can record when using it with the battery as long as you record the content as it happens. The only time you can't record using the battery is when you use timed recording. It has to be docked to the home kit while using the adapter.

When I tried to record with the battery as it happened the unit cut off about a minute after I started.

That shouldn't happen. I've recorded O&A bits without having the unit plugged in. I just recorded a song to make sure it worked again. It should record fine without the adapter.

You might be able to enter a diagnostic mode by turning the unit off, entering "207" then pushing some other button; other Delphis work this way.

Due to licensing agreements, they made the SkyFi2 dump all the recorded material when the unit is turned off or powered down.
Please tell me this is not an issue with the MyFi.
______________
