MyNetwork Mascot Helps Viewers 'C. More' TV

Novel way to humanize, or at least personalize, Fox's junior stations.

This is a story from broadcastingcable.com. It sounds like it has something to do with My Network TV. However, I can't read the rest of it 'cuz I don't subscribe to the print edition of 'Broadcasting & Cable'. My thanks to someone with access who can post this story...

Or to the two elder Van Pelt siblings, for that matter....

I was watching MY9 (WWOR) on Monday and I noticed a promo with what looked like a TV set with a head, arms, and legs. Is this the "mascot" they are referring to.

I guess you were referring to Lucy and Linus of the "Peanuts" cartoons.

Yes.

Like that episode of Everybody Loves Raymond where Deborah takes a job in an
ad agency and comes up with a campaign for a pizza client featuring a mascot
named "Professor Pete Zah"

My45 in Phoenix has given us "C-More"(reruns?) also..a bug eyed, animated version of the MyNetwork logo :-\

It reminds me of the "Circle 3 with Legs" KTVK had for a couple years after they became an independent in the mid-'90s.

Same mascot on KCOP here in Los Angeles

Maybe this "mascot" will catch on and be a part of My Network TV in general. And maybe bring in some new programming...

Hey-hey, let's not be so quick to judge. Give the mascot a chance. After all, maybe My Network TV will change to "C More TV". And hopefully, we'll 'C' new programming this fall. After all, 'Burn Notice' is supposed to be in syndicated repeats, so Wednesday nights should be freed up then...
