Maybe the MyNetwork deal was made primarily for securing a deal in Seattle (preventing Belo/KONG from signing a deal for it), and opening the door for the secondary affiliations in the smaller TV markets where Tribune intends to remain. WGN runs 1 star movies from the early 90s in primetime; Tribune may have the national clearance, but running those on WPHL , WATL, KTWB seems passe. They can't run WGN News or The Cubs games from WGN either, nor would Moesha reruns from WGN be really fitting for WPHL, WATL or KTWB. The MyNetwork affiliation isn't reverse compensation so nothing really for Tribune to lose. I'd think the My programs would perform better than the movies; Tribune may not be able to sell WPHL (the biggest underperformer currently) as quickly as they might want also. There is also programming from the Tube, though that its a digital only thing. If WPHL is sold, I'd think Philly would lose that.
