MyNetworkTV Adds Newsmagazine, Concerts

I'm amazed at how much new programming My Network has come up with in the past few months. Their ratings seem to be ticking up a bit too. (a 0.7 is hardly anything to do backflips about, but it's better than the 0.5 they were getting)

Feed Schedule for 9/1/07

AVP Championship Cincinnati – Crocs Cup Finals
8-10PM ET
5-7PM PT

We will present this telecast in SD and it will be upconverted for HD audiences.

Guarantees and End of Event Scenarios:

We will guarantee AVP Programming until 10:00PM ET. In the unlikely event this program is still in progress at 9:58:29 PM ET, we will leave the telecast and run the :30 Network promo and 1:01 end break that will take you directly to 10PM ET and you can leave Network programming at that time.

Backup Programming (Delay and Cancel)

We will have IFL (2 hours) episode # YCK119 available to backup the 8-10PM ET time period. Although we do not anticipate using this programming, please have the logs available to Master Control. Should conditions dictate, this program will be joined “in progress”.

Master Control:

Cues for local breaks:

Affiliates should take their local roll cues from the scheduled Network promos immediately preceding you local break. Please check the final log for actual local break lengths.

The Network may drop, add or move portions of a Network break for time.

As this is a live telecast, there exists the possibility that the show may come up short or run long.

If we run short, we will fill until the scheduled off time. If the action runs long, we plan to leave the action and hit the end break on-time.

At the conclusion of the telecast, we will lead to Break 11, a :30 Network promo followed by your 1:01 end local break. This will be the last event for the AVP telecast and will take you directly into your local programming. If “play” is still in progress at 9:58:29 PM ET, we will leave the telecast. You are not instructed to stay with the Network beyond 9:58:59PM ET.

Log Timings:

As this is a live telecast, all logs will reflect “dummy” segment durations. The hit times for breaks will not be shown.

Floater Breaks:

On your log, there will be 3 additional one-minute breaks (breaks 12, 13 and 14), for use as contingencies, and may run at any time during the telecast. These breaks may or may not run and will be listed at the end of the regular log. Each break will be 1 minute, consisting of a :30 PSA and a :30 Network Promo. Whether these contingency breaks are used or not, your off-air break will always be break 11.

The floater breaks will have the following structure:

Segment 12-:30 NETWORK PSA SECOND HAND SMOKING - SUV
:30 NETWORK PROMO MYN30CB0903TAJA

Segment 13-:30 NETWORK PSA MENTORING - CHESS
:30 NETWORK PROMO MYN30MP061RB

Segment 14-:30 NETWORK PSA BOOSTER SEAT - PRECIOUS CARGO
:30 NETWORK PROMO MYN30MNTV

Pacific Stations:

This will be a replay of the earlier live telecast and should be treated “as-live”. Please roll all local breaks off of promo cues.

Reminder: Possible “day of air” changes

MyNetwork TV Management reserves the right to revise these conditions and “may” do so at any time. If revisions are made prior to air day, we will notify you via a web alert. However, it is always possible for revisions to be made “live-on the air” in order to cover any unexpected event

I wouldn't exactly call that a "newsmagazine". Probably just another ET or E! wannabe.

I remember not long ago when (I think) the president of MyNetworkTV was saying that he "believed in the product", referring to the telenovelas which were getting extremely low ratings. I wonder where that guy is now.
