MyNetworkTV signs CBS

So much for CBS keeping their stations out of MNT out of spite.

Curious that WSBK isn't in there. I guess CBS decided they really wanted the Boston station to go independent but decided the other stations would be "better served" by joining MNT.

WUPL was suppost to be sold to Belo (WWL-TV) pre-Katrina. I guess the deal was called-off.

I thought CBS was going to sell off some of their smaller stations, particularlly where there was no CBS station, possibly to buy WGCL Atlanta or other stations in Top 25 markets. It was rumoured that WUPA would be sold, but since they made it a CW affilate, people are speculating that CBS will get WGCL.

CBS is at the cap right now, so they might dump some stations in smaller markets to order to later get ones in larger markets.

WSBK may not be involved because of the station's technical status as a superstation. I would suspect that WSBK is going to become Boston's KCAL.

Nice to see that Fox and CBS have mended fences.
